Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is July 13-16, 2026, from 8am-Noon each day (Monday-Thursday) for kids going into 1st-3rd grade in the 2026-27 school year. At VBS, we’ll create a safe, fun opportunity for children to experience Jesus. Our theme is Kingdom Quest: an epic journey to discovery God’s kingdom.

Volunteers

Come support the kids in their journey by volunteering with us. There are many opportunities available. Join us in making a difference in a child’s life this summer and show them the love of Jesus! Look at the opportunities below to see how you can get involved!

  • Group Leaders – This is one of the most important and rewarding roles because you are literally co-hosting a small group of kids on their VBS journey providing a safe place, fun place to experience Jesus! You’ll want to bring a positive, fun, energetic attitude filled with compassion as you set the tone for the kids by setting healthy boundaries so they can explore Jesus in a safe, welcoming environment. It is a 4-day commitment as you become a role model to your kids as you experience the day’s activities together building friendship as you stick together as a team throughout the day. Both adult and student leaders can serve in this role.

  • Craft Team – Our craft team is responsible for selecting, preparing, and leading groups in an age-appropriate craft each day. This position can be flexible for time commitments with as little as 3 hours a day.

  • Games/Activities Team – This team brings the fun, shared experience that build community and team spirit through movement. You’ll need to be able to manage the energy levels by directing the kids through an engaging game or activity in daily rotations. If you love sports and large groups games, this would be a great role for you.

  • Drama/Large Group – Let your outgoing personality shine as you help start and end the day out by sharing the theme of the day with high energy and a little creativity. This team will meet a couple times prior to VBS for rehearsals and requires a 4-day commitment.

  • Admin Support – if you want to be involved but are not comfortable hanging out with the kids, consider helping with administrative support. All communication, volunteer management, student enrollment and check-in/pick up require extra hands but don’t require a lot of interaction with the kids specifically. Times vary depending on the specific task.

  • Skilled help – There are some roles that require a little bit more training. We refer to these as our safety and wellness team. They keep everyone safe and respond in the event of an emergency. First aid/CPR is mandatory for these roles. When not needed they can engage in the daily activities.

    • Security Support – Maintains a safe and secure environment by watching for dangers during check-in and out when the facility is open and responds in the event of an emergency. Training in deescalation is preferred.

    • Medical Support – Provides support to anyone who is not feeling well or needs first aid assistance. CNA or higher is preferred.

    • Behavioral Health Specialist – Offers support to the team with behavioral issues by watching for signs of stress in kids and leaders, offering preventative options, and  supporting during behavioral episodes. Training in Trauma informed care is preferred.
