Thanksgiving Dinner PC web.png

This Thanksgiving we are so excited about serving a family style, sit-down dinner for families from the PEACE Center, Capital Christian and our community who have no family near by or no safe place to celebrate Thanksgiving. Guests will be seated, served and waited on! There will be turkey, trimmings, dessert and beverages. We also want to make a special invitation to our military family who are without friends and family in this time to come celebrate with us!

Please contact the PEACE Center to RSVP:

Services

We believe that God has a greater plan for people than poverty, loneliness and spiritual emptiness. His plan is for us to belong. We believe God’s plan is for us to grow spiritually, emotionally, relationally, financially and in every other aspect of our lives. Therefore, we commit to using our time and resources to help the people in our community to be successful over-comers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

HOW YOU CAN HELP

How you can help

GIVE A "FEATURED ITEM" EACH WEEK

Week 1 – PB&J, tuna, mayonnaise, lunch meat
Week 2 – pasta, pasta sauces, boxed macaroni & cheese
Week 3 – condiments and snacks (fruit snacks, chips, crackers, etc)
Week 4 – canned food and meat (chicken, ground beef, hot dogs)
We are always accepting hygiene products and can openers.

6 ITEMS

Each time you grocery shop add 6 extra items that your family would consume to your grocery cart.

SPECIAL EVENTS OR COMPETITION

Collect donations in lieu of or in addition to admission for your events. Organize contests between small groups or student ministry classes to see who can donate the most food by pound.

BE A BENEFACTOR

A benefactor is someone who gives consistent support through:
– Donate financially weekly or monthly.
– Commit to purchase beef, chicken or turkey in bulk each month.
– Be creative, be consistent.

VOLUNTEER

Give your time and talents to help.  The more people we have available, the greater our capacity to love the people God sends us.  Come and see!

There are special wooden bins at the PEACE Center and in the Capital Christian foyer for your non-perishable donations
