ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS WE CAN ASK FOR IS GREAT FRIENDS.

“The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.” Proverbs 12:26 NKJV
HOW CAN I HAVE BECOME A BETTER FRIEND?
1) GET INTERESTED IN OTHER PEOPLE.

3 WAYS TO SHOW INTEREST IN PEOPLE:

“Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” Proverbs 20:5 NKJV
2) ACCEPT PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE.
“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”
Romans 15:7 NIV
3) HELP PEOPLE WITH THEIR BURDENS.
“Help carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 GNT
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17 NKJV
4) LOOK FOR THE FRIENDS GOD HAS FOR YOU.
“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.” John 17:6 NKJV
“Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to Him those He wanted, and they came to Him.” Mark 3:13 NIV
5) ALWAYS HAVE A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV
“Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you.” Philippians 2:14-15 NLT
“Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, than in a house shared with a contentious woman.” Proverbs 21:9 NKJV
“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17 NKJV
6) GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2 NIV
HOST A GROUP.
SERVE ON A TEAM.
SHARE CHRIST WITH THEM.

"Philosophers have been speculating on the rules of human relationships for thousands of years and out of all that speculation has evolved only one principle. It is not new. It is as old as history. Jesus taught it among the stony hills of Judea 19 centuries ago. Jesus summed it up in one thought, probably the most important rule in the world. `Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.'"
