PASTOR DAVE MINTON
“He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’” Acts 13:22 NKJV
My question to you: What kind of man are you?
The man he was
The man he wanted to be
The man that God saw
David was a man after God’s own heart because God could turn his heart.
“Create in me a pure heart, God, and make my spirit right again.” Psalms 51:10 NCV
David was a man after God’s heart not because he was perfect, but because God could turn him.
My question to you: Can God turn your heart?
“And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
Malachi 4:6 NKJV
Has your heart gotten indifferent?
Has your heart gotten discouraged?
David went from adultery to a pure heart.
David went from being a transgressor to teaching transgressors.
David went from being selfish to a worshipper of God.
“Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep.” Acts 13:36 NIV
If God can turn your heart, it can turn the hearts of other people.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 NKJV
How do we respond to transformation?
Take a breath.
“Parents, don’t come down too hard on your children or you’ll crush their spirits.” Colossians 3:21 MSG
To forge a legacy, I must:
1. Have a vision
3. Repent and forgive
