A PLACE TO WORSHIP
HOW DO WE WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH?

“The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. “You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.” But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”” John 4:19-26 NKJV

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV

·       SOME PEOPLE TRY TO WORSHIP GOD WITH ZEAL BUT LITTLE TRUTH.

2)     WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT?

“Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”” John 3:5-6 NKJV

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV

·       IT INVOLVES MY WHOLE HEART

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!” Psalm 103:1 NKJV

 ·       IT INVOLVES MY BROKENNESS

·       IT INVOLVES MY GLADNESS

“Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalm 100:2-3 NKJV

·       IT INVOLVES GIVING GOD MY CONSENT

““For with God nothing will be impossible.” Mary said, “I am the servant of the Lord. May it be unto me according to your word.”” Luke 1:37-38 MEV

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” John 16:13 NIV

3)     DOES MY WORSHIP PRODUCE THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV

“Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:2-4 NKJV
