OPENING THE DOOR TO FINANCIAL PEACE
ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS TO FINANCIAL PEACE IS FEELING LIKE I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH.
“Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”” Luke 12:13-15 NIV
FINANCIAL PEACE IS A JOURNEY.
“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.” Isaiah 48:17 NKJV
- To push forward
- To breakout
- To crossover
1) FINANCIAL PEACE STARTS WITH PUTTING GOD FIRST.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV
“I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.” Psalms 37:25 NKJV
2) FINANCIAL PEACE COMES WHEN WE GET WISDOM.
“The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” Proverbs 19:8 NIV
“The commandment is a lamp and instruction a light; corrective teaching is the path of life.” Proverbs 6:23 CEB
“Everyone who was in trouble, in debt, or in desperate circumstances gathered around David, and he became their leader. Approximately four hundred men joined him.” 1 Samuel 22:2 CEB
3) FINANCIAL PEACE CAN COME WHEN WE CREATE A BUDGET AND LIVE WITH SUFFICIENT MARGINS.
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 NKJV
“When you harvest your land’s produce, you must not harvest all the way to the edge of your field; and don’t gather every remaining bit of your harvest. Leave these items for the poor and the immigrant; I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 23:22 CEB
4) FINANCIAL PEACE COMES WHEN WE HAVE A SAVINGS PLAN.
“And now let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt. Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine.” Genesis 41:33-36 NIV
“The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.” Proverbs 21:20 NLT
“Those who love pleasure become poor; those who love wine and luxury will never be rich.” Proverbs 21:17 NLT
