I am the Door - Apr 14 & 15

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:9-10 NKJV

OPENING THE DOOR TO A BETTER MARRIAGE

WIVES CAN ….

1)    OPEN THE DOOR BY BEING A HELPER.

“Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”” Genesis 2:18 NLT

“Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.” Proverbs 19:14 NLT

2)    OPEN THE DOOR BY SHOWING HIM RESPECT.

“… and the wife must respect her husband.”  Ephesians 5:33b NIV

“A quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping on a rainy day.” Proverbs 27:15 NLT

“It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.” Proverbs 25:24 NKJV

“Better to dwell in the wilderness, Than with a contentious and angry woman.” Proverbs 21:19 NKJV

3)    OPEN THE DOOR THROUGH SEXUAL INTIMACY.

“The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs.” 1 Corinthians 7:3 NLT

“Do not deprive each other of sexual relations unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” 1 Corinthians 7:5 NLT

4)    OPEN THE DOOR BY COMING INTO AGREEMENT.

“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:22,

“Wives, understand and support your husbands by submitting to them in ways that honor the Master. Husbands, go all out in love for your wives. Don’t take advantage of them.” Colossians 3:18-19 MSG

“Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:1-4 NIV

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”” Matthew 18:18-20 NKJV
