YOU ARE PART OF GOD’S SECRET PLAN

“God wanted to make the glorious riches of this secret plan known among the Gentiles, which is Christ living in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 CEB

 · GOD WANTS US TO GO INTO OUR CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE TO BE HIS WITNESS

THE WOMAN AT THE WELL

See John 4:4-42.

“"Come and see a man who has told me everything I’ve done! Could this man be the Christ?" They left the city and were on their way to see Jesus.” John 4:29-30 CEB

“Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” John 4:35 NIV

“And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” John 4:39 NKJV

· GOD WANTS US TO BE PREPARED TO TELL OUR STORY

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…” 1 Peter 3:15b NIV

“Live wisely among those who are not believers and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” Colossians 4:5-6 NLT

WHY YOUR STORY IS SO IMPORTANT?

1)    YOUR STORY IS UNIQUE.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story…” Psalm 107:2a NIV

2)    YOUR STORY IS PERSONAL.

“Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.” Psalm 66:16 NLT

“Listen carefully. I’m speaking sober truth to you. I speak only of what I know by experience; I give witness only to what I have seen with my own eyes. There is nothing secondhand here, no hearsay.” John 3:11 MSG

3)    YOUR STORY IS POWERFUL.

“He answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: I was blind, and now I see.”” John 9:25 NCV

“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.” 1 Peter 2:9-10 MSG

4)    YOUR STORY CAN BE LIFE CHANGING.

“For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true...” 1 Thessalonians 1:5a NLT

“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.” Psalm 105:1 NLT
