YEAR OF HOPE

ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN FAITH

“Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.” Zechariah 9:12 NKJV

1) WHOM DO I BELIEVE?

"Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly].”" Mark 11:22 AMP

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].” ACTS 4:12 AMP

“… who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,” Philippians NKJV2:6

“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,” Colossians 1:19 NIV

“Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 11-2:9 NKJV

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14-14:13 NKJV

2) WHAT DO I BELIEVE?

“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.” Psalms 119:114 NKJV

* KNOWLEDGE: KNOWING WHAT IT SAYS

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,” Hosea 4:6 NIV

* PERSPECTIVE: SEEING IT, HAVING THE MIND OF GOD

“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 NIV

* CONVICTION: PURSUING IT, HAVING THE HEART OF GOD

“... nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Luke 22:42b NKJV

* SKILL: DOING IT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 NIV

* CHARACTER : HAVING IT, BECOMING LIKE CHRIST

“We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ and have his perfection.” Ephesians 4:13 NCV

3) HOW WILL I BELIEVE?

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 NKJV

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV

“For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:21NIV

“Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him… Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”” NIV 29, 31-261: 1 Corinthians

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” NIV 4-4:3 2 Corinthians
