Hope For My Breakthrough - Is there any hope?

Pastor Dave Minton

Living with hope is essential

"... to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet." Proverbs 27:7 (NKJV)
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." Psalms 27:13 (NKJV)
"Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that the father of many nations, according to what was spoken... And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform." Romans 4:18-21 (NKJV)

Hope Needs a Source

"... Christ in you, the hope of glory." Colossians 1:27 (NKJV)
"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 (NKJV)
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect," 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV)

God's Hope Does Not Disappoint

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has given to us." Romans 5:5 (NKJV)

1. WHEN GOD POURS INTO MY HEART IT PROSPERS MY SOUL

"A good man out of the treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things." Matthew 12:35 (NKJV)
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 1:2 (NKJV)

2. WHEN I SPEND TIME WITH GOD HE RENEWS MY STRENGTH

"... but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
"But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matthew 6:6 (NKJV)
"So He himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed." Luke 5:16 (NKJV)
"And He has withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him." Luke 22:41-43 (NKJV)

3. WHEN I SPEND TIME ALONE WITH GOD HE RENEWS MY MIND

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
"Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," Says the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." " Isaiah 55:7-9 (NKJV)
"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

"Is this not the fast that i have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor and cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard." Isaiah 58:6-8 (NKJV)
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12 (NIV)
"Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4 (NKJV)
