Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ” Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. IF YOU HAVE WHAT YOU'RE HOPING FOR IT ISN’T HOPE !

“We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)”.     Romans 8:24-25 NLT

HOW CAN I MAKE THE MOST OF A DEVOTIONAL LIFE ?

1)    Solitude

“So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.” Luke 5:16 NKJV

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6 NKJV

2)    Expression

“….true  worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.” John 4:23 NLT

3)    Inspiration

“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.” Psalms 119:114 NKJV

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” 2 Timothy 3:16 NLT

4)    Meditation

“Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.” Psalms 119:97 NKJV

5)    Memorization

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” Psalms 119:11 NKJV

6)    Petition

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”   Philippians 4:6 NIV

7)    Confession

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23 NKJV

8)    Repentance

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,”  Acts 3:19 NIV

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9 NKJV

 9)    Partnership

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,” Hebrews 10:24 NKJV
