COURAGEOUS FAITH IS: HAVING THE COURAGE TO COME AND GO
TWO WORDS THAT SUMMARIZE THE MESSAGE OF JESUS: COME AND GO
COME TO ME “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
GO FOR ME “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” Luke 7:50b NKJV
JESUS INVITES US TO COME TO HIM BECAUSE HE CAME FOR US
“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10 NKJV
“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Luke 5:32 NKJV
“And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 NKJV
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20 NKJV
COMING TO GOD MEANS STEPPING OUT IN FAITH
“Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. Matthew 14:25-29 NKJV
1 COME AND SEE STEP.
“He said to them, “Come and see.” John 1:39 NKJV
2) COME AND TASTE STEP .
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalms 34:8 NKJV
3) COME AND BELONG STEP.
Then He said to them, “Follow Me...” Matthew 4:19 NKJV
4) COME AND GROW STEP
"...learn from Me." Matthew 11:29 NKJV
5) COME AND GO STEP.
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24 NKJV
WHEN YOU COME TO HIM IN FAITH HE IS GOING TO ASK YOU TO GO IN FAITH
“Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” Mark 5:19 NIV
“Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’ “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and Iʼm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’ “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I canʼt come.’ “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’ “ ‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’ “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.”. Luke 14:16-24 NIV
“Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 NKJV
