WHERE DO YOU SEE THE CROSS FROM THIS EASTER?

SOME PEOPLE SEE THE CROSS FROM A DISTANCE

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV)

But now, thanks to Christ Jesus, you who once were so far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.  (Ephesians 2:13 CEB)

SOME PEOPLE SEE THE CROSS FROM BELOW

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. (Isaiah 30:18a NIV)

We need God’s Grace to help us get over our past

For by the blood of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God, which he gave to us in such large measure!  (Ephesians 1:7-8a GNB)

We need God’s Grace to help us get through our struggles

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.               (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT)

We need God’s Grace to give meaning and purpose to our life

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV)

SOME SEE THE CROSS FROM ABOVE

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13 NKJV)

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 NLT)

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16 NLT)

SOME PEOPLE SEE THE CROSS FROM THEIR OWN

I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering,…(Philippians 3:10 MSG)
