WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER
WHEN WE CELEBRATE TOGETHER
week 7 11-14-15

Remember today what you have learned about the Lord through your experiences with him. Deuteronomy 11:2a (GNT)

And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony…  Revelation 12:11a (NASB)

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Psalms 27:13 (NKJV)

WHAT DID WE LEARN?

1) WE LEARNED THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF VERY COURAGEOUS PEOPLE IN THIS CHURCH FAMILY

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 (NIV)

2) WE LEARNED THAT LOVES MATTERS MOST BUT HAVING REAL RELATIONSHIPS TAKE EFFORT

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: Ecclesiastes 4:9a (NIV)

3) WE LEARNED THAT SMALL GROUPS ARE A SAFETY NET

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 )NIV)

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4: 12 (NIV)

My dear friends, if you know people who have wandered off from God’s truth, don’t write them off. Go after them. Get them back and you will have rescued precious lives…  James 5:19-20a (MSG)

4) WE LEARNED THAT GOD IS STILL ACTIVELY RESCUING PEOPLES LIVES

For“Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? Romans 10:13-14 (NLT)

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

STAY TOGETHER

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)

KEEP PRACTICING THE THINGS YOU LEARNED

The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9 (NASB)

PRAY A SCARY PRAYER AND ASK GOD TO USE ME

“The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Matthew 9:37-38 (NLT)
