 HOW CAN WE HELP EACH OTHER GROW SPIRITUALLY?

1.    GROW PEOPLE’S WORTH WITH YOUR LOV

-       BY SHOWING ACCEPTANCE  Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Romans 15:7 (NIV)

-       BY GIVING OUR ATTENTION  When we have the opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. But we should give special attention to those who are in the family of believers. Galatians 6:10 (NCV)

-       BY BEING AFFECTIONATE  Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], Romans 12:10 (AMP)

-       BY SHOWING APPRECIATION  Now, brothers and sisters, we ask you to appreciate those who work hard among you, Respect them with a very special love because of the work they do. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 (NCV)

2.    PRAY FOR EACH OTHERS SPIRITUAL GROWTH Epaphras, from your group, also greets you. He always prays for you that you will grow to be spiritually mature and have everything God wants for you. Colossians 4:12 (NCV)

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may… grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, Ephesians 3:17-18 (NIV)

I pray…Christ, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Christ better. Ephesians 1:17 (GW)

I pray God will make you ready to obey him and that you will always be eager to do right. Hebrews 13:21 (CEV)

I pray he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, Ephesians 3:16 (NIV)

I pray… that the Lord will guide you to be as loving as God and as patient as Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5 (CEV)

I pray… that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in him. Romans 15:13 (NCV)

May God develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other as well as Jesus gets along with us all. Romans 15:3-6 (MSG)

3.    BE HONESTY ABOUT YOUR FAULTS Tell each other the truth, because we all belong to each other in the same body. Ephesians 4:25 (NCV)

BENEFITS OF HONESTY

-       EMOTIONAL HEALING So admit your sins to each other, and pray for each other so that you will be healed.  James 5:16 (GW)

-       DEEPER FELLOWSHIP But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 (NIV)

-       A FRESH START Those who hide their sins won’t succeed, but those who confess and give them up will receive mercy. Proverbs 28:13 (CEB)

-       THE POWER TO CHANGE Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. James 4:10 (NLT)

4.    ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER TO MAKE GOD HONORING COMMITMENTS  …train yourself to be godly. 1 Timothy 4:7b  (NIV)

I mean that I want us to help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you. Romans 1:12 (NCV)
