HISTORY MAKERS HAVE A DECIDED HEART

So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.” And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (Luke 2:48, 49 NKJV)

3) AERAS TO PUT YOUR HEART INTO

1)  PUT YOUR HEART INTO YOUR WORSHIP
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. ” (II Chronicles 16:9a NKJV)

Then everyone came whose heart was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they brought the Lord ’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, (Exodus 35:21 NKJV)

2)  PUT YOUR HEART INTO YOUR MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25 NIV)

3)  PUT YOUR HEART INTO YOUR WORK
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (Colossians 3:23 NIV)

THE PROBLEM
PEOPLE GET LOCKED UP IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A DECISION
There are many, many people in the valley of decision. The day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.              (Joel 3:14 GW)

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing. (1 Kings 18:21 NIV)

a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:8b NKJV)

(HOW DO I CULTIVATE A DECIDED HEART?)
1). ASK YOUR SELF

                  -  WHAT DO I WANT?
                  - DO I WANT TO PAY THE PRICE?

, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42 NKJV)

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy,           (Acts 20:24a  NKJV)

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it — lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. (Luke 14:28-32 NKJV)

2). THINK BIG AND THINK LONG TERM

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV)

3) OWN THE DECISION

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.” (John 10:31-33 NKJV)

4) WHEN CONFRONTED WITH CHALLENGES SEACH FOR SOLUTIONS NOT ESCAPE

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (I John 5:4 NKJV)
