PURPOSE STATEMENT: TO PROVIDE A FUN AND SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN TO LEARN AND EXPERIENCE JESUS’ LOVE AND WHERE PARENTS FEEL COMFORTABLE AND CAN CONFIDENTLY LEAVE THEIR KIDDOS.
We consider it a privilege at Capital Christian to offer quality Early Childhood care for children from birth to Kindergarten to members of our community and church. It is our goal that by the time each child leaves our classes, he/she knows that 1) God Made Me, 2) God Loves Me and 3) Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We believe that kids can learn about God and His amazing love at all ages. Because of that, Early Childhood offers a variety of classes for children ages birth-kindergarten that are age appropriate, exciting and relevant. Our volunteers and staff are screened, trained, and skilled in caring for your children.
Our weekend program for Capital Kids-Early Childhood is designed to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of our children while providing a safe and fun environment, where parents feel comfortable leaving their children to experience worship for themselves. The program is divided into six developmental stage categories; Infants (birth until 1), 1 year olds, 2 year olds, 4 year olds, 4 year and kindergarten. Each classroom and curriculum is cater to each age group, as kids at all ages have different learning capacities.

Common Questions Asked by Parents Visiting for the First Time:
Who will care for my kids while I am in a Worship Service?
Each of our volunteers has completed a Capital Kids-Early Childhood New Leader Orientation Class which includes age-level training, thorough review of our safety and security policies and a background check including fingerprinting. This detailed process ensures that we will provide your child with the best possible care in a safe and secure child-friendly environment.
How do I check in my child?
At the time of check-in, a loving and trained volunteer leader will greet you. You will be asked to provide us with a phone number for a cell phone that you have in your possession. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message. (Remember to leave your cell phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) If your child cries, our caring volunteer leaders will immediately soothe your child. If your child has difficulty acclimating or experiences separation anxiety, our volunteer leaders will immediately soothe your child. You and your child will receive a check-in tag specifically created for your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.
What will my baby do while I am at the Worship Service?
Our weekend program is organized into the following structure: Play Time/Table activities, interactive Sing-a-Long Worship, each class will have an activity that caters to that specific age group that corresponds with the Bible Story for that week, Bible Story, watch a teaching DVD that reinforces the Bible Story, snack time and Bible Verse, and then travel to "The Reef" for large group interactive Sing-a-Long Worship and to watch a teaching DVD that reinforces the Bible Story. After the DVD, each class will have another activity. Depending on the age group it will either be a coloring page or an activity to reinforce the Bible Story.
What snacks are available for my child?
In each class from 12 months-kindergarten, we provide a snack of either graham crackers or goldfish. If your child has any dietary restrictions or special needs, our leaders will lovingly accommodate you. We just ask that you label the items you bring with you, with your child's first and last name.
What is the well-child standard?
We set high health standards in Capital Kids. For the protection and well-being of all involved, we ask that children with any of the following symptoms not use any of the Capital Kids classrooms:
• Runny, goopy nose as a result from a cold (not a clear, runny nose from allergies)
• Hacking cough
• Vomited or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours
• Been on antibiotics in the last 72 hours
If a child vomits for any reason during the class, the child will be secluded to the check-in area until his or her parents arrive.
We use hand sanitizer generously – ensure every child sanitizes his/her hands upon entering the classroom and before snack time.
